Alabama Governor Kay Ivey signs abortion bill in challenge to Roe v. Wade

In a statement after signing HB314, which makes it a felony to perform an abortion in nearly all cases, including in rape or incest, Gov. Kay Ivey acknowledged the bill may be "unenforceable." The bill could face legal challenges that may go up to the Supreme Court.

they want the issue to goto supreme court and if they say the abortion is illegal then states will follow with legislation. they want it to goto supreme court with the toughest legislation possible.
