may be. I don't know. they just are proud of it. but I've argued with lots of tamils that tirukkural is contradictory. in one poem it is misogynist, and in another progressive. in one poem, it is individualist, and in other it calls for collective action.

without relevant commentary, it looks like the ranting of a mad man ani cheppa. hehe.. many of them agree.

same like that, this is tamil society's way of training their kids to have superior memory skills.

some of the brightest kids in TN (which I'm not), know tirukkural by heart. and other poems too.
