BJP has occupied the space of 'developmnt' politics, and Congress if it has to counter it, has only the space of 'worker based' politics (which is not attractive now), and freebie politics.

RG announced NYAY scheme 72k per yr, which was brilliant. but after that, he didn't mention it much on the campaign. lots of people who I spoke to either didn't know about the policy, or thought that RG was bluffing.

it was his job, and his cadre job to sell the policy. if they sold it, they would have still lost, but not by this much.

the sympathy for Modi as a lone man fighting against these big powerful dynasts is very clear.
