That is the reason Mike wants thiss bill badly. He knows that if it goes to voting it will fail miserably as all the senators will be on record how they voted. Trump has already mentioned that he will veto this unless border emergency is voted down. But mike lee voted for along with democrats amd potus is angry on the republicans who went with democrats and voted 54- 48 . All the six republicans who voted along with the democrats are sponsoring this bill

Even it is veto proof, there is no set time for the president to sign it. He can drag it till the next election. Because he knows if he signs this his suburbam votes of the independents are gone

There is voting and from the people i talked with here near the starbucks at the capitol hill, there were a bunch of chinese whi said that Dick Durbin is going to object and bring the bill for diacussion
