See it is just plain sight politics. No single senator is interested in immigration bill in election year unless they are ready for their second gig or trying to retire. As for Kamala she will be on the ticket either in 2020 or 2024 as VP or governor for cal . Mike lee is done

Just heard on rush limbaugh - senators cruz and rubio are drafting an immigration bill which will be in the coming months an alternate to s386 and they say it is dead as of now. Basically back to the original gang of 8 bill

But again microsoft and google are not the main vote bank for marsha blackburn or dick durbin or marco rubio or tammy duckworth. Probably they will aligb some of the senators. Rubio and cruz have demographic issues in terms of voters in their states
