Picha light ra Bai..oci or pio Edo okati unte chalu..ee lathkor rules em prekalev.. recently one of my friend went to India came back with oci and his kid passport changed after 5 yrs he did not reissue oci card..just carry old n new passport..

Also another friend went with pio card as well airlines picha light they don't even care of these updated rules..worst case India lo on arrival visa kooda teeskovachu work out kalapote..

If u don't have oci or pio just apply for Visa that's good for 10 yrs..

But if your kid has to stay more than 6 months then isn't OCI mandatory ? or can the kid stay more than 6 months with e-visa?

this is one of the reason i didnt apply OCI for my kid yet.

Yes. That’s painful process. Visa is not worth it. It cost you almost same money as OCI. So why bother? with OCI you have added advantage than visa like don’t worry about above 6 months and you can buy properties.

You can but you need to submit necessary paperwork. I guess there’s a limit on how many times you can ask for extension.

Did anyone faced issues travelling to india especially after november 1st when ur childs oci card is not renewed with new passport number?
