It can be considered a move in the right direction? A message that punishment will be beyond the law for that heinous crime. A small deterrent to perpetrators.

Nah...encounters will never solve the purpose, a temprary relif measure but this will never solve the  problem...

Hopefully better education and  awareness will enlighten people about such crimes...

yes. encounters means that police dont have to develop any processes to tackle crime.

they can simply round up random guys off the street and bump them off and close the case.

it will not scare the rapists. It will make them even braver.

It’s a good precedent. I hope this is followed by everyone not just police. Once you suspect someone raped then you must be allowed to shoot him dead.

Yes. But Govt has done something good which should be appreciated.

The thing you mentioned,  realistically it will take 15+ years

Take for instance PK - Instead of complaining & crying, did he come up wiry any ideas on how to resolve these kind of issues ? If a joker like him who’s desperate to become CM doesn’t do any good for society, why will people who are ministers will do anything good. 

New Generation /Young Leaders like KTR, Loki, PK should come up with ideas to improve the society

You bet. This rape outrage is all caste based nonsense. Yes women must be respected their choices respected. But all this rubbish society does is hysteria around rapes if one of “their” women is believed to be raped by “other” men. Most Indians are temptermentally unfit for civilization.
