Assam is protesting the entirety of the bill, they don’t want any of them. There are close to 2000 troops there right now with over 1800 people detained. Muslims are definitely protesting discrimination though. May be it is pent up anger for article 370 and Ram Mandir. Not much happened back then - only sporadic protests. Now they can go against this bill as it can be deemed as unconstitutional. By protesting this one, they can get back at what happened over the last few months. Quote
