Federal tax is same all throughout the country so no issue. State tax are different for different locations. Since, state tax is based on which state you work, and that state charges taxes from your paystub, you have to apply tax returns to that state. Mee iddaru no employement tax vunna state lo vunnaru kabatti, it doesnt matter. Your home state only matters if you are seeking any benefits from state. Since you are an immigrant, you cannot claim any benefits. The only area that affects you is the state law. State law mostly applies for the people of that state. Home state is determined by length of your stay in particular state (court cases ki thappa idi neeku affect avvadu). Long story short.
