After Kerala, it is now Vizag that has been shaken with a suspected case of deadly coronavirus. The infection has passed rapidly to the neighbouring countries of China and unfortunately, the fatal virus has touched Indian cities as well.

On Tuesday, an 18-year-old girl was admitted to hospital and it is said that the victim had joined MBBS in China in 2019. She returned to Vizag, her hometown on Feb 13.

The girl has first reached Bangkok from Kunming and later took a flight to Kolkata on Feb 13. After reaching Vizag through Falaknuma express, the girl complained about a few symptoms similar to coronavirus like diarrhoea, vomiting, headache and throat pain.

Soon she was admitted o the Chest Hospital. The news has been confirmed by KGH superintendent G Arjuna and he said that the case is suspected but not confirmed.

Currently, her medical samples are sent to the National Institute of Virology in Tirupati. If the reports turn negative, the teenager will be soon sent home post her observation period. With the suspected case, the port city is on alert mode and the airport officials are busy conducting screening tests of passengers who come from China, Malaysia and Singapore.
