Kool_SRG Posted March 21, 2020 Author Report Share Posted March 21, 2020 Three new cases in Karnataka; state's tally at 18 Three new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Karnataka, taking the total number ofinfections to 18, the state government said on Saturday. Earlier on Saturday, Health Minister B Sriramulu giving details about one positive case said, a 32-year old person from Gauribidanur in Chikkaballapura district, who has returned from Mecca has been confirmed for the infection. The person has been admitted in a designated isolated hospital for treatment, he said in a tweet. Details regarding the other two patients are still awaited. From Today Mumbai/Navi Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur are kind of under shut down. Only Essential services will be available public transport is also restricted and pvt offices have been told to asked to close and work from home.. Govt offices will handle only important works and shall work at 25% staff which was earlier 50% , this is till 31st March.. Responding to claims that trains will also not run on Sunday as part of the PM's Janta curfew, the Railways said that no such services will be delayed or halted on March 22. In countries like China, South Korea, and Japan, experts are now witnessing a flat curve in the number of confirmed cases. This takes the total number of cases in Gujarat to 13, reported news agency PTI. Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani confirmed the same and said that the most recent case has come to light from Gandhinagar. The person who tested positive in Gandhinagar has a travel history of overseas and the one who tested positive in Surat travelled abroad but also to Delhi and Jaipur, Rupani said. The matter reportedly came to light after co-passengers onboard the train spotted the home-quarantine seal on the husband's hand and alerted the authorities. The announcement was made by Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope on Saturday, quoting the World Health Organsiation guidelines which say that the virus can sneak in via AC vents, News18 reported.
