However, the government has said that districts where cases are being reported but are not hotspots also need to work proactively and initiate containment strategies, the Health Ministry has said. India has successfully pin-pointed virus-hit areas, says Harsh Vardhan "There are around 400 districts of India where coronavirus has not entered. We have been able to pin point where the virus is," says Union Minister Harsh Virdhan. The government had earlier identified 170 districts as COVID-19 hotspots and 207 districts as potential hotspots, Hotspots are those districts which are reporting more number of cases or where the rate of growth of COVID-19 cases is high. Maharashtra, Karnataka are in 'bit of trouble', says Harsh Vardhan Union health minister Harsh Vardhan said that Bihar wasn't as badly affected by the corona virus pandemic as Maharashtra and Karnataka. "Bihar isn't in so much trouble right now, but definitely, Maharashtra is in a bit of trouble, particularly Mumbai, and also Karnataka. DMK Chief Stalin asked about the preparedness of the govt. We have stocked all 3 layer masks and PPE kits and have continuous supply of the same. We have sufficient stock of all this. There is no drug of choice for this virus yet. We are researching on a vaccine. We are treating and discharging people. There was a C-section today for a positive case and we checked the baby also for the virus and tested negative. It's a supportive and symptomatic treatment. We have procured medicines and IV fluids well in advance. We have task forces and special IPS and IAS officers to look after each district. New measures are taken everyday. We have 26 labs. We have over one lakh PCR kits. Tata has also contributes PCR kits. We have a efficient supply chain also running. There is no community spread. Quote

While Delhi recorded just 17 new cases, its lowest single-day tally in April, Maharashtra reported 232 — the lowest figure in the last six days. Nine new Covid-19 deaths were reported in Maharashtra and two in Delhi in the last 24 hours. Quote
