Why do you want invent the wheel? Thats what the frameworks are for. They had encapsulated all that architectual aspects (in this case microservice based one) you are talking about. Thats exactly the use of Spring Boot. Spring Cloud provides houndreds of ready made services to achive all non-functional requirements. No boiler plate code or writing your own micro-service. As developer, I only write my microservice which just holds the business logic. Nothing else. In Java stack, if you wanted to develope micro-service based 12 factor application, Spring Boot (with/without Spring Cloud) is only option in 99% of the projects. Quote
