This virus is supposed to bind with a receptor called ACE2 on the lung. Basically it's a receptor that is an enzyme which when reacts can act towards expanding blood vessels during respiration. If you get coronavirus, most likely your immune cells will act on the virus, but because of the inflammation some function of the enzyme is lost. So, for atleast 8 weeks after, the enzyme won't act normally is my guess. Some companies are trying to develop ACE inhibitors to prevent the binding of this virus to the cells in the lung. From what I understand the binding affinity of the virus to this receptor is high (which means the virus won't infect as badly as it would otherwise). It also means ACE inhibitors might work as a drug.

Because flu is a virus that mutates a little bit every year. No one knows how it mutates, we only guess the possible mutations and make a flu shot to give it to people every year. That's why people say that flu shot may not always work. However, since humans have evolved to have had flu so many times, we are more likely to have immune cells that are specific to flu that we would have of the cells that are specific to coronavirus. Besides, we know everything there is to flu and can even predict the mortality rate every year. With COVID-19, there are a lot more unknowns.

Influenza mutates every year. We check the strain every year, guess 4-5 ways on how it can mutate the following year, and make flu shots that we give patients every year. But sometimes the flu may mutate differently when compared to what is being predicted so the flu shot may not always work. But yes, seasonal influenza disproportionately kills the elderly and the kids.

Here situation is different.

Lungs healing from virus is different than prone to bacteria..bacteria damage is very high.

 

Nuvvu cheppina 23,000 regular flu deaths are due to very temrinal old people who lost resistance to flu.

 

Carona in process of gaining resistance more will die because if bacteria attacking your lungs after virus gets eliminated by white blood cells.

White bloods will won't have enough fighting power to rectify bacteria.

 

Carona is good at replicating itself faster than regular flue once enters the lungs.

 

Summary is ; carona is completely treatable..but there are no enough beds in hospital or enough ventiallator support..

It can be healed but leaves a scars which are prone to infection as you get older. Doctors say tb and pneumonia can be cured but does affect lifestyle when you get old
