The nation-wide lockdown to prevent the spread of coronavirus has thrown life out of gear by separating several families, with some stuck in different cities or towns and unable to travel. A large number of such instances are being shared on social media with the hope that the authorities will be able to understand their problems and solve them.
Some have been able to reach out to IT minister KT Rama Rao, who responded favourably on multiple instances. Fifteen-year-old Tanvi Jasmine and her grandparents had gone to visit relatives in Bengaluru on March 19 but are stuck there. “Please find a way so that we can get back home to Hyderabad,” she said. KTR responded, “These are difficult times Tanvi. We will try and get you home ASAP but please bear with us. Glad you have your grandparents with you.” The minister directed his office to get in touch with her.
