Case 1:

Friend valla company lo GC and Citizenship unna vallaki mandatory Unpaid Leave(furlough) or if they are very very critical resource aithe pay 50-60% taggistunnaru. 

Case 2:

H1b vallu criticall kakapothe immediate layoff. 

Case 3:
H1b vallu critical aithe very interesting. They can't give mandatory unpaid leave(furlough) or can't decrease pay to 50% because of the LCA min wage requirements. Like keep it or lose it situation. Companies can't take legal risk assuming that USCIS will losen the rules ani. Okavela job pothe, ippudu unna situation lo they can't even file premium petition as well. If they have working spouse their h4 ead will also impact. Safe side ga full time vadilesi telsina employer ki h1b transfer chesukovadam better emo before companies layoff and fall in out of status.

Ippudu unna situations lo Contractors with good employer are lucky fellows. They can take unpaid leave, if they are critical they can reduce the pay rate. If the fire, their employer take care of payroll etc.

You are 100% right. Naa patha company lo FTs ki dina dina gandam.. They are scared everyday emaitado ani. Nenu picha lite.. Ee contract pote vere contract vetukkunta..Employer will support upto 6 months..

FTs after six years of H1 people are really stuck.. usually they lost contacts of contracting mestris and won’t have current hot demanding skills to compete with new n1/F1s...
