All countries retired them more than a decade ago. RAF replaced them two generations ago..now euro fighter typhoon. We need our tejas production running at full pace

What happened since 2014? Why BJP Govt 1999-2004 could not start at least?

Whats the current status now? Decision to buy Rafale jets was taken in 2015. How many were ordered, how many were delivered? How many are in pipeline?

Its good that Modi Gov has just now pushed for defense deal with Russia. What happened in last decade? It will take another 10-15 years for Su-57 delivery with Tech Transfer.

Why did not Modi Gov initiate procurement of 5th Gen fighters from 2014?

Because of idiotic people who want subsidies. Tax paying percentage was also very low.

So they focussed on that which is a right move. Look at how Pak os suffering because of focussing on planes.

Leading Israeli defence firm Israel Weapon Industries (IWI) is set to supply the first batch of 40,000 light machine guns (LMGs) to India starting early 2026.

 

The company is also in the final stages of signing a contract to supply nearly 1,70,000 new-age CQB (Close Quarters Battle) carbines to India. However, IWI is only the second bidder for the contract, with Bharat Forge being the primary.
