What happened since 2014? Why BJP Govt 1999-2004 could not start at least? Whats the current status now? Decision to buy Rafale jets was taken in 2015. How many were ordered, how many were delivered? How many are in pipeline? Its good that Modi Gov has just now pushed for defense deal with Russia. What happened in last decade? It will take another 10-15 years for Su-57 delivery with Tech Transfer. Why did not Modi Gov initiate procurement of 5th Gen fighters from 2014? Quote

So they focussed on that which is a right move. Look at how Pak os suffering because of focussing on planes. Quote

Indian subsidy is not the factor..lack of commitment and insights. In 1965 we had outstanding flying squadrons in airforce..we learnt from 1962 mistakes.. but now we are not learning even after decades of rising air superiority with our enemies. Quote

Omg....this is so basic. Money matters. Why do you think people go to US? Because they can throw money around and various R&Ds knowing that there is very low chance of success. Even commitment comes from giving these kind of opportunities to smart people. India cannot do that because of subsidies. Farmers who depend on subsidies should be forced to stop farming by ruthlessly removing subsidies. But if the govt does that, people would be on streets and it happened as well. The development we have been seeing is because of 5% of population....95% are still idiots. Quote

Politics, poor leadership ruining our air superiority, our foreign policies Its not politics and poor leadership, its the people who are ruining everything. Politics and poor leadership always reflect the culture of the people. They want subsidies, kept voting for congress for far too long and sold their voted for money and freebies. Thankfully they elected BJP and corruption went down significantly relatively. This might sound stupid as BJP is also corrupt. Even now, India is importing crude and doesn't have enough electricity to supply to Industries. The greatest help anyone can easily do is buy solar panels and get an Indian EV. Govt is giving pretty good incentives. Its doing its job. People are still slow to adopt eventhough it saves them money. Educated people, even nris are buying landcruisers and other crap and then complain about pollution. This shows how idiotic Indians in general are. Have you installed solar panels and shifted to EV??
