SS Das was decent... Aakash chopra nokkude typical test opener but couldn't score more than 30s..

I really feel for Wasim Jaffer who couldn't do well consistently at international level for his class..

Navjot siddu retire ayyaka...test openers chala mandi mararu...SS das/sadagopan/rathor/devang anukunta/ jaffer/akash...sehwag/akash/gambhir/vijay lasted longer in that lot..ah jaffer ithe monnati varaki played domestic...international lo 140 kph above he couldn't play...

Vikram Rathor got in to team during last days of sidhu but couldn't make good use, then VVS was tried and then Devang gandhi was tried did well in Indian vs NZ but was dead in AUS.. SS Das is bit better , Connor williams was also tried in between and even Sanjay bangar.

Jaffer was class act don't know why he couldn't click consistently but was good in patches.. Sehwag & then came Gambhir it became stable.

Still rate Jaffer much better than Vijay or present day Dhawan as opener.

Wasim jaffer pina manchi buzz unde like kl rahul...both disappointed when it comes to opening...ganguly wanted yuvraj to open too, but he didn't had that skill...vvs was never interested in opening even though I guess he scored a hundred in aus/sa as opener....

Yuvraj was considered since he wasn't able to break in to middle order since it was such strong may be dada though he could make a impact like viru... VVS was obviously make shift once Azhu moved out of team VVS settled down the order at 5 & 6..
