Help needed on Drupal

I am trying provide suggestions to user when ever he tries to tag the content using taxonomy.
Using Taxonomy we can add a new vocabulary and can specify the content types to which it should be applied right.After doing that ,When ever user tries to create that type of content, a new "textfeild" is enabled ,where he can tag the content.
I am trying to provide suggestions from my dictionary( can provide synonyms,hyponyms,hypernyms etc) at that "textfeild". MyModule configuration page contains radio buttons for each relation (synonyms,hyponyms,hypernyms).If radio button for synonyms is checked ,then suggestions in the "textfeild" should include synonyms from my dictionary.

I have to run a different query for each relation (synonyms,hyponyms,hypernyms).And also query should be run for every KEY PRESS of the user in the "textfeild".
Is there any way that I can give the entry in the "textfeild" as the input to my query. And the result should come up in the auto complete.
