there is potentital. But its not very easy in his case, 

But his laziness, no clarity on things, dependent on gaining knowledge, wrong guidance from people around him make him nothing but just a loser. 

On a postive note, his wish to do something good for the country is something that need to be appreciated, but again what does he do to achive his goals, ? he need to work on this really hard, may not be easy at all

He should have a independent belief , he can be a force for good even if he doesn't win .
