In a surprising development, senior BJP leader Somu Veerraju, who took over as the president of Andhra Pradesh unit of the BJP, on Thursday called on Tollywood megastar and former Union minister K Chiranjeevi.

Veerraju came down to Hyderabad and went to the residence of Chiranjeevi to in the evening to meet the megastar on a courtesy call.

Chiranjeevi congratulated Veerraju on the latter’s nomination as the president of Andhra Pradesh unit of BJP.

The senior actor also felicitated the BJP leader with a shawl and garland. Both of them had held discussions for quite some on the contemporary politics in the Telugu states and the Centre.

The megastar is learnt to have suggested to the state BJP chief to work in coordination with the Jana Sena Party floated by his brother Pawan Kalyan to resolve the issues concerning the people.

And Veerraju is learnt to have asked the support of Chiranjeevi to the BJP-Jana Sena combine at an appropriate time.

Interestingly, Veerraju has not met Pawan Kalyan till now. Though he came to Hyderabad, he chose to meet the mega brother first. May be, he will have a meeting with Pawan Kalyan in a day or two.

Pawan Kalyan, too, hasn’t met Veerraju till now, but greeted the latter through twitter.

So far, there have been no proper coordination between the BJP and Jana Sena and may be, Veerraju will take an initiative to form a coordination committee comprising leaders of both the parties.

Kapu consolidation , BJP doing ground work . Any political party must have solid caste group votebank to compete in Andhra .

BJP will be building a separate votebank of 7% ,it will gradually increase and if they get one chance they will  get into power easily .

I can see BJP coming to power in AP 10-15 years in future if they don't ally with anyone . Jagan would be old and they can use anti incumbency and start few anti Christianity riots to win elections
