Also get his vitamin-d level checked. 100% of the serious covid cases are due to low vit-D levels like less than 8 ng/ml, some people even have less than 5 nl/ml level of Vit-D. Being completely indoors due to this lock down also makes your body not exposed to sun which is natural source of Vitamin D if feasible one should sit in early morning/evening sun say 7-9 am /4-5 pm.. AryaD Posted September 8, 2020 Author Report Posted September 8, 2020 My dad discharged from the hospital today after 12 days. Are there any thing I should watch for post discharge ? Is it necessary to do covid test one more time? Should I expect fluctuations in the oxygen level? How long does it take to heal the infection in the lungs? Quote

All that you need to make sure is he get fresh air. Fresh air, fresh air, i'm repeating. keep windows open where he spends most of the time, and take him out for few mins every few hrs when its not too cold or windy. Give orange juice, frequent mild warm water intake. . . "absolutely no rice", let him eat no rice food like wheat chapati or jowar roti , ragi etc., he'll be ok. My mom got severely sick with continuous sneezes, mild cough, high fever and body pain couple of weeks back, it was covid negative, tested two times. had breathing issues for the first 3 days, she had steam inhalation at home itself and started breathing better in 2 days, but it took 1 week to come out of feverish feeling, and complete recovery of taste, appetite and sore throat took like 10th day approx. Even after 10 days recovery she was feeling a bit tired, now she is doing ok after more than 2 weeks. But thread started is talking about coronavirus and not a regular flu, things might change drastically when corona. Quote
