suddenly everyone is getting concerned with Farmers eh

Outside of Punjab , haryana the MSP system was never followed for decades . Rice procured from Punjab is of bad quality and even poor people are not eating it , creating a huge black market .

There is no incentive for punjabi farmers to plant good variety suitable for human consumption under old system .   I am not saying New bill would create miracles , it wouldn't change much for anyone but it's a start . We need a market system and private investment to modernise agriculture .

The apprehension of  disproportionate power of coorporates is also real , we need more safeguards to ensure small farmers have a fighting chance.  Forming cooperative societies is the next step

This is what I have always been saying, not just recently but much before this bill was presented.

The market should decide the price of a commodity, not government. Demand should decide the price, not minimum support price.

MSP regime has killed the agri economy but because of appeasement politics, we have created  a manufactured economy.

Farmers also need to understand the market, demand and supply and need to produce the crops that are in demand. Traditional farming needs to go away or else, there won't be farmer anymore.

I agree with you but looking at the larger picture when there will be drought only rich will be able to survive and the poor will die.. same thing with other basic necessities like public transportation, water facility etc. i think there should be a balance between the corporate and the government

The larger picture is not drought, we have stabilized enough ayacut so much so that India will not see famine situation anymore. South India mosty rain fed ae, kani north perrenial river ayacut is most strongest, more than stabilised to provide food for entire country..

The biggest problem is in the next 10 years, another 1-2 crore acres will be stabilised or new ayacut will be created. we will see record output of food grains, so much so that we will not be having space to store them.

In such a scenario, MSP kaadu kada complete collapse ayipotadi.

Capitalistic Country la socialist agri laws...inthakante daridram inkokati vundadu.

Farmer needs to change the way farming used to happen, we need to come up with new ideas ..new agri marketing, rapid and fast transport of perishable goods so much so that we should not see the need for cold storages..

most importantly...food processing. India la grains entho cheap ga dorkutayi..kani a grains ni emi cheyalo telvadu...but tapping food processing, packaging market can really change the game,  Indian railways ni minchipotadi business adi...we can supply to the whole world.

We need private investments and provate players to play an aggressive game...Yes, there will be exploitation for sure but if we don't involve private players, crisis lo vunna agriculture kastha collapse avutadi..

You are absolutely right , but drought vachinapudu MSP or market yard won't save poor farmers right ?

I absolutely agree that some sectors should not be looked through the eyes of profit like education , health , drinking water , transport ,etc  but  only in agriculture there was rules that forced farmers to sell to a government monopoly .

That is like telling all children must go to government schools , everyone must go to government hospitals , etc .

Ok floods, tsunamis, earthquakes lantivi vasthe?? India has a large population to feed. if everyone exports to other countries for money, prices will shoot up and the poor people will not afford it.

Remember average income of India is under 10rupees per day

public procurement will continue at MSP rates , they said they will procure directly from farmers .  We etill have the most archaic laws regarding exports ,  there won't be much exports of essential good items .  We will export more fruits , vegetables , niche varieties of pulses , etc

somehow private players in the agriculture I am not a fan of it.

US lo chusam ga monsanto gadi seeds monopoly

chicken farmers

farmers are mainly focused on soya n corn

ala ala chala examples vunnai where farmers succumbed to private players

bayataki raleka aa system lo vundaleka, ala kakunte saal.

farmizen lanti apps ochchi Farmers kuda free market ni enjoy cheyali

it used to grind my gears when tomato prices go around 2 rs and farmers threw all produce and then in the same month it shoots to 70/kg lets see how it goes.

why should govt involve in this. govt involved for 70 yrs and what infra did it create??

all FCI did was to buy the over produced wheat/rice and let it rot
