Absolutely, the entire southern peninsular had a different approach to their governance even before independence. Mana states lo freedom struggle movement kani, revolutionary ideas kani were very different from what happened up north. Plus, the proximity to the water (surrounded on three sides remember) gave us a huge scope for developing water intense industries. Though north had the blessing of great northern plains, it's the manufacturing, easier chance to export import and shipping businesses that changed the dynamics wrt economic development in the south

No body is blaming her ,she is much better than many politicians ,I respect her ,law and order was always good on her time ,I don't know about mainstream media ,but she was called miracle of democracy by PV ,
