I am a mechanical engineer working as a design engineer. It is comparatively difficult to get a job in mechanical engineering in US given fact is you cannot fake Mechanical experience which is difficult to do as that of real experience. Also here the salary is very good as also in India. Also you can always go to software side if you ever want to. Problem with mechanical engineering in US is few companies sponsor, reason is it takes time to be mechanical engineer and the companies don't want to employ temp workers to deal with immigration status. My suggestion is if he likes to be mechanical engineer let him be and he always can go do a software job if he decide to. +1 But it's not going to be easy to just "go to a software job" going forward @golmaalgovindam Interest unte definite ga Mech ki vellmanu cousin ni...otherwsie CS or something that will be in demand Quote
Daaarling Posted October 11, 2020 Report Posted October 11, 2020 Mechanical engineering salaries are very low Quote
