dasara_bullodu1
I can tell Pros : You won't miss that homely feeling ... ever Chances of emergency help is more Cons : You have to play some real politics to find private time social interaction will annoy because everyone expects something from you Finally, it's worth it if you are not looking to pursue your deeper individual goals

How open are Desis to accept mixed race couples into their groups? mostly, they are okay to welcome desi crowd into their neighborhood or groups..unless if the group or guy is fond of certain community or regional feeling sh!t... but you'll be fine if you like desi crowd.... I just can't get my broke a$$ with them..its just me...and my thing.. when i was single for so long time, never lived in any desi community or desis, all my roomates were mostly americans and other countries. But family life is different, got to adjust..

All together its like a desi party.. If kids, good for them, as they can hangout with other desi kids and play indoor games in winter and outdoor in summers. Parents can enjoy a bit when they visit you, by looking at the desi crowd here. They feel wow we have desis here which is nice for them. You get to know latest news in Andhra Telangana and India, you get to know some other desi info or deals in walmart or sams club or costco, like kitchen groceries deals, whatever al that crap... If you like kids, you will have fun with many kids at gatherings or potluck nights... Cons: too much curious to know your stories, they try to show that they're smart than you, they try to show they are from upscale or class, politics within groups, too much bothering, You will be judged by your actions, lot of free advices, These are some of my observations, and i hate desi sh!t.... I feel living with close relatives is far better than living with desi community... atleast they won't expect you to invest money and time

Behaviour stuff, you know what i mean... other than that they goood... Good luck big man...

If you didn't for some reasons you will be judged right away, you get tagged as a miser, or desi hater. lol..

I just can't get my a$$ with them..its just me...and my thing.. when i was single for so long time, never lived in any desi community or desis, all my roomates were mostly americans and other countries. But family life is different, got to adjust.. good you got some exposure living with videshi's....majority of bachelor desi's mostly live with desi folks (MS students or H1's)...enno sarlu complain chestham desi etc etc but room mates/neighborhood choosing lo malli akkade untam. yes, there are too many cons living in desi' neighborhood (family crowd gurinchi chepthunna)...but you alway have an option to choose which family is closely matching your interest/frequency...Dallas, NJ, Bayarea, Virginia lanti crowded desi cities lo kuda americanized thinking/lifestyle tho entho mandhi untaru....Pro's gurinchi matladali ante 2 main things man...which is life saver 1) DB peddalu cheppinattu, emergency situation lo neeku desi's help chesinanthaga thellollu antha easy ga cheyyaru or frequent ga cheyyaru, just once in a while anthe. My wife went through little tough pregnancy (before in-laws arrived)...daily cooking/job kastam ayyedi last trimester lo....pakka neighbors were telugu family and hardly hangout couple of times anthe....but damn, they helped us a lot...almost every day they used to send us curries and vere neighbors kuda many times helped us like this...even though I hardly care for them. 2) Kids - entha ledanna ikkada kids oka age vachaka chaala fast untaru...sometimes its scary vallu wrong route lo velthara ani...desi kids tho ekkuva hangout aithe koncham relax untadi...ledante marchipo inka. of course there is no guarantee that other desi kids are not spoiled brats...but mostly desi kids andaru valla intlo mana laage chaala protective untaru. So better chances are you will have some peace of mind if you kid is hanging out with other desi kids of your known circle. So these 2 reasons are the most imp in our life (once you are 35yrs+)....before that you thinking will be different but after 35, logistics will change and you might want to hangout with desi's (provided if you find better company)
