i have a question.

I moved from employer A. to employer B just 6 months back and say after 2 years if my final action dates becomes current and then i join my employer A lets say 6 months before FAD becomes current can he file my I-485 ?

Since i am joining just before dates becomes current will that be a problem while filing 485 ?

I have a reason for being, my husband doesn't. Not sure how to imbibe it in someone that doesn't have it.

My husband wants to retire early on his investments. I don't think he lacks drive, but I think he has no drive to work beyond 35-40. I don't know how to motivate him to work longer, for the sake of work, not necessarily for the money. In other words, he works to get paid, I get paid for the work I do.

No, if the purpose of work is to get money, then you're working to get paid. If the purpose of work is the with itself, then you get paid for the work you do, because the latter case, working is more important than getting paid.

To shorten it further, if you give him a million dollars, he will stop working tomorrow. But I won't.

750k e le, he is close but I am worried he will stop working in a few years. I think it's because he is not passionate enough about his work which is a turn off, but it is what it is.

Contracting lo career growth emunatadi sittancle?

Developer nunchi Sr developer or team lead.  Architect, principle engineer, manager ee roles contractors ki ivvaru kada mostly.

@Spartan

Contracting lo it depends on you.

Best to do contracting first and then FTE.

First nunchi FTEs aithe you would become a psycho.....especially if you grow within the same company.

I am all for FTE....it has lot of benefits ...especially if you have a family.

You can have career growth as a contractor as well provided you have a Green Card. If you want to become a team lead, apply team jobs. IF you want to become manager, apply manager jobs.

You will lose some interviews...but don't be afraid to fail. Within 3 months you can become a manager if you really wanted to.
