no unlike dell it doesn't have slot. so it is fixed at 16gb.

compared similar laptops on dell. but, the display is max at 220 nits not more than that and most of the $650 laptops are with only 8GB rams. So, have to put some money to boost it.

 

this one is 16gb. for daily use and some mysql,postgresql, python, tableau. and display is 250 nits. So inclining towards it.

 

And it is from costco so can return if not satisfied.

Good luck with shipping. It's months from now. Mine shifted to Dec 11, then to Nov 15, yesterday was Oct 30th, today is Nov 11th. So I have no idea when it will ship.

Windows - chose professional if you can

Resolution - 4k kadu

Office will cost you extra 100 or so

Camera is not very good

Storage and RAM are fine

Go for I7 processor

Go for AMD Ryzen 4500/4700 series laptops , these beat even i7 processors in performance easily.
