Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell objected on Tuesday to a proposal by Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders to vote on a House bill increasing COVID-19 relief payments to $2,000. The House voted 275-134 on Monday to increase stimulus payments set to go out to American households in the coming weeks to $2,000, up from the $600 checks that Congress had previously approved.

This really shows the difference between an American senator and typical highcommand slave or bhakth politicians of india. Mr McConnell maybe a republican, he may have supported Trump but he is also his own man with his own view of what is right and what is wrong for the country.

McConnell and Democrats burnt midnight oil to make this bill, Trump threw a populist tantrum for 2k. But brave McConnell is not going to buy it. I also want money to be given to effected but why so much - people are getting enhanced unemployment anyway - there is PPP - but checks again for 2k after giving them 1.2k to each person already ? and these go to people making up to 180k a year.
