Because i am a hindu. I am asking why i cannot be priest in my own temple. I am also asking why my temples keep hoarding gold, jewelry like that wasting wealth. why management cannot be from all section. I am not government, i am asking as hindu who made lot of donations to temples.

Join a gurukul or a vedic school, get through school and attain priesthood. There are a lot of priests who are not Brahmin by birth but get through Gurukul. Even Caucasian folks in America go through Gurukul and get priesthood.

Dont give stupid answers. It very well known who are priests. In TTD they went to court leave alone a caste only one family can be priests. So called gurukuls are not even few dozens in hundreds of thousands.

The Government shouldn't be allowed to boss over the endowment of only Hindu temples but let other religions do their own thing in my opinion. It's unfair towards Hindus.

Subramanian swamy is fighting on these issue from long time ( to free hindu temples from govt control ). He is successful in some temples ( nataraj temple in TN ,uttarakhand temples etc )

You have no f'ing idea, there are tons of Caucasians studying in Allahabad, who gave up meat and strictly follow Hindu practises. In fact, there was a story few years back about a dalit who finished Gurukul in the TTD schools. If you don't know about Hindu practises, don't mock it, it only shows your ignorance.

Yes if you are a caucasion you can be a priest. There is one guy here - look at this guy https://twitter.com/davidfrawleyved?lang=en

He calls himself pandit vamadev shastri. If you are white you will be ok infact you will only be given brahmin status but i doubt no matter what @ZoomNaidu does i dont think he will be accepted as shastri.

Yea one dalit in a billion hindus. Look this is height of stupidity to argue like this. IN india people dont change castes. If you talk blindly like this - did you really do a phd? i suspect you did fraud in you thesis you sound like a fundamentally dishonest person.

Temples are a problem. They are very different from other religious places like churches or mosques. They are mostly used to collect money in the name of darshan/hundi/puja in return for some magical benefits the diety or idol is believed to give. Temples are rarely used for preaching or telling right from wrong or doing charity or service - infact most temples dont do any of such things. In addition temple priests are heriditary or belong to one caste no merit is allowed.

Also most temples are designed to take and take and take and take but not give much in return. For example more and more gold, jewellery is added, thousands of acres of land donated by kings simple remains with temple. In some govt run temples they do annadanam etc but these arent really that common or that organized.

So how to fix this ?

First re-distribute all the land to nearby landless farmers. Already land ceiling acts are there for people why are temples exempt. In return some small piece of land can remain with temple where they can use to build a school/hospital to do seva.

Do not collect more jewels or gold than necessary. Anything above will be melted and used as donation. First of all it is ridiculous to cover god in so much gold and a hassle to protect it leading to pink diamond style fiasco nonsense.

Make priests and management meritocratic and recruit from local society.

Once the above are established give autonomy to temple management and let govt go away.

First wakf board lands panchedam

Tarvtha missionary lands

Inka poor evarina migulte alochincham

Ipati daaka only temple lands e pancham kadha, mana desamlo sickularism ani okati undhi, meeru marchipotunaru, halleliyah

Yesudas requested for entry into padmanabha swamy temple and temple management approved it

The first thing you need is to respect the traditions of Hindu religion, which you clearly don't. What is the point of mocking something when you clearly have no idea what you're talking about? Like I said, it's not just Caucasians. Few years back, a dalit student got through Gurukul in Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam and attained priesthood. I am sure lots of people did this after, but it's so normal now that even news channels don't cover it anymore.
