Anta Assamey Posted January 5, 2021 Report Posted January 5, 2021 The DGP informed that in 2020 about 228 cases of attacks on temples were registered in the state of Andhra Pradesh, compared to 305 cases in 2019, 267 in 2018, 318 in 2017, 332 in 2016 and 290 in 2015. So, the record in 2020 is an all time low in the last 5 years. With this, we can understand that neither the media nor the political parties made fuss about it in the last years. Always people get carried away by media reports. They believe that something worse is happening for the first time, watching a first time program on an incident. People never know that something of that sort has been happening for many years. A regular occurrence has been attributed to the ruling party as its party head is a Christian. But the logic has been concluded that the ruling party hardly gets into doing such acts, as it will be detrimental to their party and government itself. Then the fingers are being pointed at the opposition party stating that it has been doing these things out of desperation. Many minds believed in this theory after the Chief Minister's address yesterday. There were also some assumptions that some outsiders (from North India) were hired to do these attacks and run away to their native state once the task was accomplished. Who might have hired them, if true? Focus was kept on such groups as well. But now, this primary data is giving a conclusion that the miscreants belong to none of the political parties but some anti Hindu groups. We have to see how the Intelligence Department cracks the secret behind the series of crimes. Whoever the culprits are, the responsibility to trace them and punish will be with the government.
