485 (GC), Ead , AP, Spillover issues

"Further, USCIS will increase the maximum validity period of initial and renewal EADs to 5 years for certain noncitizens, including those admitted as refugees or granted asylum; recipients of withholding of removal; and applicants for asylum, adjustment of status, or cancellation of removal. The increased validity period will reduce the frequency with which noncitizens must file for to renew their work authorization. This is anticipated to also reduce the associated workload and processing times, which will allow USCIS to concentrate efforts on initial work authorization caseload."

This will be a big relief .. Adjustmebt of Status ani undi category lo .. so it will help them

Along with EAD.. AP kuda isthe better for 5-yrs .. becos that is the only thing preventing many to not switch to EAD from H-1b

Ledhu baa..many ppl in 2012 ,13 are having only ead and not gc as the dates retrogressed. Vallaki malla final action date current avvaneeki minimum konni years paduthundhi..that will help them for sure

Any idea on how long it will take to receive the Receipt Number for EAD renewal once the documents are sent ?

2 weeks max and for example your documents reached 2nd Sep then recipts generates between 15 to 18 september and you will receive notice of the receipts  in text message if you submittedn G-1145 and USPS postal mail notification 3 days lo vasthadi  after reciept generated.

2nd step you might get standalone or combo card on 26 or 28th of September   also you can moniter your progress by loging in to the USCIS portal 

AP approve avakapothe it will take 12 to 16 months
