In 2007, it was bush. No one gave GC's, presidents dont have such authority to give gc's unilaterally. Dates current chesadu, no such thing as filing and final dates that time. 1 month anni C chesi, next month retrogress chesadu. Aa penta clear chesesariki 2018 ayyindi. Some lived on EAD/AP for 10+ years. Ippudala cheydam is almost next to impossible, very slim chances. If there is no chance of clearing that backlog in the near future, DoS wont move the dates. 2022 mess clean chesesarike 15 years pattochu. If it does happen, good for all. USCIS wud be in deep trouble though. 1M+ EAD/AP documents free ga process chesthara anedi big question. 3 Quote

Yes. 2007 March I think they made all categories current. There was mass filing. It took almost 4 yrs for this backlog to clear. Mine 2006 Sep GC filing date. Filed EAD in 2007 March and got GC in 2010. It was rumored that it was a mistake and they took it off right away, then there was too much pressure so opened it again in a month time. I also read in this DB some other reason. Dont remember it. Quote
dummyquestion Posted September 2, 2023 Report Posted September 2, 2023 Any advise/suggestions please? I am on H1B visa and my i140 approved in the year 2017. Since then, I have moved employment a few times, and I will be going to a new firm next couple of weeks (my H1B application is in the process). 0.1% possibility, Let's imagine that in the October 2023 bulletin, USCIS changed all filing dates for all categories to current like it did in 2007.How should I file an EAD in that case? Is there a solution? I won't have enough time to go through perm process with the new employer and I cant go back to my old employer who filed my i140 in 2017 .Is there any way or chance to not to miss this opportunity of filing EAD in case it get current in Oct 2023 bulletin?  Quote
