If AAPL reaches $145 by the exp date, then I will be selling my 100 stocks for $140 if the buyer executes it right? what if buyer doesn't execute by the exp date, will there be this kind of situations? I am beginner to options, I am kind of long term passive investor. Patience is key man. You can sell every week covered calls and take the premium. Long term lo AAPL will go up. Meantime sell call and collect premium. Ezpz

Anyways, if someone exercise their call option, you can always buy and sell the same call option and make some money in the process. Also, they can't exercise the option unless apple is at or above $140. I understand most of the option players does not exercise call options, but sell for better price in the market if appreciates. Eventually some one needs to exercise it right by the exp date if stock price reaches at or above strike price? are else it will be expired.

Ara_Tenkai Posted March 16, 2021 Report Posted March 16, 2021 Quick question: if I buy partial stocks and over a time if it amounts to the whole stock...will I be entitled to a whole stock?
