Popular Post Spartan Posted December 29, 2021 Popular Post Report Posted December 29, 2021 To all stock newbies, this is how taxation works on stocks. NOTE: Stocks, ETFs , Crypto meeda vache gain/loss ni... Capital Gain/Loss ani vadtaru. . An the taxation is implied only when u sell the stock. that is when u realise gain/loss in real and not on paper. Now Scenario lets say below is the end of year status for your stock trading for the fiscal year. Stock A - Long Term - Profit = 10k Stock B - Long Term - Profit = 5K Stock C - Short Term - Profit = 8k Stock D - Short Term - Loss = 1k Stock E - Long Term - Loss = 4k So with above trading close at the end of year your net Capital gain is divided as below. Long Term Capital Gain = 10 + 5 = 15K --- You will be taxes 15% on this 15K profit Short Term Capital Gain = 8k - 1k - 4k = 3K -- You will be taxed your incometax bracket for this 3K. Long term loss Short lo enduku vesav ani adagochu, because 15% tax kattadam kanna, nenu tax bracket rate kattadam is high, anduke short term net lo kalipesa. IIn the above scenario, the trader is at a net Capital Gain...and no loss. 2 1
Spartan Posted December 29, 2021 Report Posted December 29, 2021 Lets take another scenario. Now Scenario lets say below is the end of year status for your stock trading for the fiscal year. Stock A - Long Term - Profit = 2k Stock B - Long Term - Profit = 5K Stock C - Short Term - Loss = 8k Stock D - Short Term - Profile = 1k Stock E - Long Term - Loss = 4k ikkada Long Term Gain = 2-5-4 = -7k long term gain = 1-8 = -7k so overall ga he is on -14k loss. he canot claim entire 14K as loss in deduction. 14K ni he can spread it over 4 years, and reduce 3K in loss for next 4 years, and 2K for the 5th year. like 2022 lo in case if the person is in Net Gain situation of 10K, then he can deduct the 3K loss from previous year and show only 7K and pay tax for 7k only. ala a 14K exhaust ayyenta varaku he can show the losses. 1

Stock A : you invested 10000 and got 8000 profit And then you reinvested 18000 back in stock B and got loss of 15000 leaving a balance of only 3k in your account. then you can show only 3k as loss but you have to pay tax for the rest 5k(8k - 3k) you earned as profit earlier. tondarapadi year end kada ani dhana dhan decisions teeskokandi
