Anyone following Airline stocks. SouthWest Airlines, Delta Airlines and AA all seem to be at very attractive levels. Almost 2020 March lows.

Delta results are good but I did not understand why they fell so much. I checked the news but did not find any drastic -ve news that prompted this much downfall.

Ppl who follow this stock, can someone throw light?

Yeh looks like a good time to buy Airline stocks if the market drops further. Very attractive levels.

JETS. Expense ratio is a little bit high at 0.6%. They are'nt paying dividend after 2021. I would not invest in it.

There are some others but they seem to be more Transport company heavy than airlines. I would rather invest in the top 3 SouthWest (LUV), Delta (DAL) and American Airlines (AA)

Airlines industry is not a very profitable business. These run on very thin profit margins. business class seats helps them to cover loss in economy.

Also there profits has lot of dependency on price of gas.

Its very true. But SouthWest and Delta have a good business model and loyal customers. They are profitable and even pay dividend. Growth may be limited but a 100% gain in stock price in 2 yrs is possible. However need the stock to consolidate the price before investing.

Higher for longer hurts Airlines.

Best stocks imo in this environment are

Sofi (Good growth and high interest rates don't effect much)

RDW (Space investment is a must due to space race between countries and partly under defense with geo political issues)

STNE (High growth and very undervalued and is in Brazil which already is cutting interest rates)
