Did technology kill serial killers ??

In 60's, 70's and even 80s , there were notable serials killers ... after that no known serial killer .... Did technology & improved policing make them disappear ?

I wouldn’t call them serials killers .. they are organized criminals - drug lords and terrorists with big networks and tons of peoples working for them

With evolution definitions change. We still have serial killers. They are now running social media, politicians, legal system, and many in medical field.
