The email is also asking individuals to register for a background check by calling a toll free number. If you receive this email, please do NOT respond and do NOT call the toll free line. This email is NOT a legitimate email from the government. As you can see, the email is coming from [email protected]. Any official emails from the government will end in “.gov”. Quote

All we have to say is I will check and call back to the public available via google of which ever service/org they claim to be. IRS and USCIS will never call or email, they either send a mail via USPS or contact your employer for site or other information. Quote
