Medical education is just a organised cartel , almot every private medical college is owned by some politician all over the country .this mafia does not want to foreign doctors to practice here so that their donations don't get reduced .

If the eligibility exam is held for indian students , even they will have the same pass percentage .

We need hundreds more govt medical colleges

there is some truth in it baa.. my cousin is doing mbbs in some private college through donation seat.. 1.2 crs total cost anta... his parents sold of their land and apartment to pay 50 lakhs and migatha di loan..at that time, when everyone warned them not to do it, they said medicine has great future and they should be able to repay in no time.. fast forward 14 years.. he is 32 now and struggling to start his own practice. very heavy competition anta, and as the article said low compensation by multispeciality private hospitals that employ doctors.. he is finding it hard to get a good marriage match also. overall, he seems to be in a tough situation

Yes India needs a lot more Medical universities at a undergrad and grad level. Also, there should be a way to stop doctors migrating to other countries.

Money and artificial scarcity to keep the donation rates high .

Chudu baa..if you are shelling out to pay 1.2 crs for a ug seat then it is utter foolishness unless you have an already established set up or your parents are doctors who can push you through the rigid buddy network existing in medical field . At the most you can spend around 20 to 30 lakhs for ug seat...tarvatha pg cheyadaniki elago oka 30 to 60 lakhs avthayi that too only in merit or convenor quota...regarding your statement on low compensation by multispeciality hospitals is true due to the Ayurveda, homeopathy and unqualified foriegn batch...ippudu mbbs graduates ki per night duty 2 k isthuntey these buggers will come and work there for 1 k or even less since they don't have that level of income in Pvt practice...ofcourse hospital management's are culprits too..but this problem is only in our two states and to some extent in Karnataka ba...ikkada unna senior doctors lo kondharu dhagul baaji candidates valla e situation...

Increase cheyochu kaka...govt can increase its pg seats but the Pvt lobby will not allow that to happen...oka example cheptha kaka..karimnagar lo govt medical College endhuku raledhu? Rangareddy dist lo endhuku ledhu...purely because of Pvt lobby are close to present dispensation...vested interests in the state doesn't low the public expenditure on health sector...govt recruit chesukodhu and pg seats pencharu...mana state lo 1200 pg seats approx untayi..inka 250 pg seats varaku penchochani central govt chepthey ippativaraku dhikku ledhu...
