nowthisnews With a vote of 216-206, the House of Representatives has passed the Washington, D.C. Admission Act, which would make the District of Columbia the 51st state.

Currently, D.C.'s majority non-white population of more than 700,000 has no vote in Congress, despite outnumbering the residents of Wyoming and Vermont—two states that have a combined 6 votes in Congress and populations that are majority white. D.C. residents also pay the most federal taxes per capita, and the District paid more federal taxes in 2018 than 21 states. The House approved a similar measure in the summer of 2020, but it was never brought to the Senate floor for a vote by then-Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

The new legislation is expected to face significant Republican opposition in the Senate.

Well, they cant do that, unless people are too blind to see it. It will create more issues.

They will just play with these so that they can make people forget what they actually promised.
