D.C. residents also pay the most federal taxes per capita, and the District paid more federal taxes in 2018 than 21 states. The House approved a similar measure in the summer of 2020, but it was never brought to the Senate floor for a vote by then-Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. ⁠

Well, they cant do that, unless people are too blind to see it. It will create more issues. 

They will just play with these so that they can make people forget what they actually promised.
