My friend's ex-wife hit him with a frying pan on his back, vatha pade la kottindi then called the cops and told them that he beat her up. 

They came and inspected the whole situation then realized she's the one that abused him. They gave her a strong warning and told her they would arrest her the next time if she does this.

Actually i admire the women willing to live by herself and not being a parasite on her husband. He should have respected it and enjoyed his life. Now he messed it up.
