If rains fail one or two years the situation will be really bad because Telangana cannot replenish ground water as easily. Also kaleswaram last 3-4 stage lifts antha waste , acre ki 20-30 k avuthundhi anta current bill . Antha petti lift irrigation kanna KCR should have invested in creating technical universities like IIT . Hopefully KTR cm ayi corrections chesthey manchidhi Today’s newspaper article, Telangana’s ground water grew 3 meters on an average in the last 5 years. coming to kaleshwaram lot of people have miss information on how it works, the project doesn’t require all lifts to run, the ingenuity of this project is it uses godavari river bed as storage at multiple places, if for example we have good rains and assume we get water into SrSP then i70-80% of the motors need not run and from there it is a matter of filling mallanna sagar which is 50 TMC reservoir and heart of the distribution network. If we have good rains then SRSP(90 tmc) will fill by itself and from there mid manair will also be gravity fed. From Mid Manair lift water to mallanna sagar and mallanna being the highest point the remaining reservoirs will be gravity fed We require all pumps to run only if we don’t receive inflows into SRSP then we will have to pump from confluence point of godavari and pranhita rivers which is medigadda. But there will be water available 365 days in the godavari riverbed (medigadda to yellampally) because of barrages built and reverse pumping from medigadda .
