They are all safe now and rescued by the authorities

They even started to build a new drainage system costing billions of dollars ,sadly works got delayed due to covid .

One year's worth of rain in a short spell 600 mm in a week, same thing happened in Chennai/Nellore  in 2015 . Almost 1200 mm rain in a month  

In contrast Hyderabad got flooded by just 100-150 mm rain  last year, who knows what 600 mm can do

Purely man made disaster in india . 

Occupying lakes , canals and other natural water bodies. 

That's why it's laughable when any leader talks about urban planning / infrastructure in india ,  they cannot even protect any existing water bodies. How can they create new infra. 

Look at vijaywada city , where have all the canals gone over last 40 years ?
