Chand was exceptional in 2012 u19 wc, I felt he is too good for that u19 age group and the expectations are sky high even during the tournament. I remember Ian Chappell on live towards the end of u19 final said something similar to this  - "Chand is the next big thing for indian cricket" , which made me feel really happy.  Once he is above 19 -  where the real test starts for a technique/temperament/emotional stability. 

If i remember correctly in 2013  ipl season he was beaten and clean bowled by genuine quick bowlers ( eg : brett lee, mitchell johnson) repeatedly. He was comfortable with deliveries around 130 - 135 kmph pace, anything above he has issues . After this he wasn't given too many opportunities in IPL.  Not sure who is the mentor for him after u19 tournament. I really thought he would make a strong come back around 2015 and will be a strong contender for spot in Indian cricket team .

 

Hopefully he enjoys his time in Bay area.

may be later level lo ekkuva exposure avvaledu..

county cricket might have helped him...

135 kanna ekkuva adakapote intl lo kashtam..even in middle order...

i practically saw the difference while playing....ma club lo we feel around 60-70k is pace..

oka sari LA lo carribean poragallu vacharu...vallato match jargindi bay area lo.... akkada local league players vallanta...

3-4 batsmen aite balls time cheyalekapoyam....they were like constantly hitting 90k...zoom zoom mani vellevi balls...

so imagine at intl level ye pace untado...practice lekunda kashtam..

bowling machines also dont help in these scenario..
