Issac Newton vs indian golla

Issac Newton was son of a farmer and shepherd in 17th century UK. Despite being a farmer he had an uncle who is  Reverend. His mother wanted him to be a farmer but he went to top schools in britain then and became a philospher and a mathematician. At one point he was required to be a priest as all Fellows of Oxford and cambridge. But he could avoid it as he did not like to be a priest.

Even 400 years ago an Englishman had the choice of profession, had all sorts of professions as their relatives. A son of a shepherd can stride through halls of famous universities and no one would bat an eye.

In 21st century india there is practically no chance of a golla caste to become a priest. He only gets to marry mostly within his caste. He still needs reservation otherwise the society dominated by upper castes wont give him a chance. his Cm KCR gives him - insultingly - more sheep while teaching computers to his children and grand children.

If you think about it you know why britain was britain and india is india.

Question is why anyone would ever want to be a priest, most underpaid job to do practically nothing of significance. H4 aunties do more useful work than priests. If God was real and appeared in the world, he would tell people to stop wasting their time by being a priest.
