higher chance for youtube to replace traditional cable. Or other new decentralized platforms like peertube (if enough work goes into it).

simple calculation.. the size of telugu+tamil movie industry is about 15000cr? Can Netflix/Amazon even match this number?

Netflix/Amazon can barely break even. Buying big budget movies to stream them for mass consumption seems like giving 'stars' easy money as long as amazon/netflix can afford it.

the other content they produced inhouse are mostly below par. may be there are some exceptional malayalam films that released on OTT, like that recent one Kuruthi. but mostly below par.
