bro, how much I would be able to save with minimal spending, here in UK max $2000

In my experience, if you add kids and their extra classes, life insurance, car repairs, other miscellaneous. you will have that same $2k or less in US. Unless you land a job with $175k +

Bro, contract jobs still exist but tax we have to pay has increased to nearly 50% of the day rate from less than 10% previously.

Can we do contract jobs in US on h1 and how much tax do we have to pay? How much I will be able to save with minimal spending?

You cannot contract as an individual on h1 - only your sponsor of h1 can contract you. Billing rates max out at 85 or so per hour for h1bs. or you get 170k per year at max range. Your health insurance alone will cost you $18,000 per year in addition to out of pocket costs. Car expense will be atleast 10k per year. Taxes are decently high. Assuming similiar taxes in Uk - you can expect an effective pay of $140k - again at max level.

Savings depends on luck - if its remote job you can save 30k on 170 salary after taxes and everything or 50k if you really save. But if you live in cali or nyc then deduct another 20k

But if you land in FAANG i heard they pay a lot like 250-500k. I see those salaries in blind.

But if you forget savings - life will be better in usa - bigger houses/large cars/lesser racism. But one thing - local food is much better in uk than usa. I loved those one pound parwn mayaonnaise sandwinches/coronation chicken sandwich/ ham and mustard. So cheap but so tasty. Most food is tastier in uk at basic prices. ofcourse if you are willing to pay then america has everything,

None that can guide me properly, just have few contacts.

Roughly how much it would cost me intially if I dont find a job for couple of months including h1 and consultancy fees.

Depends on the employer… h1 fees and attorney fees are pretty much standard… maintenance may be around $2k per month… single job aithe US aina UK aina pedda difference undadu… unless you get a high paying job in the 200k+ range..

does your wife work?

above all, do you want to reset your life and face hardship again? For a bachelor, it is a no brainer… but for someone with a family and kids, that is a lot to think about…

One of my friend moved back to Australia (he has a PR there) after few years in US… as he didn’t feel like it is worth it…
