he himself comes on podcasts and says that driver monitoring systems are bad, because human intervention will negatively affect the driving quality. He now quietly put driver monitoring system this year. but is yet to recall and refit his cars that he already sold with such systems.

that is never the criteria. its also the wrong way to go. more people get killed by Tesla cars, bad publicity for autonomous vehicles, since musk is the loudest proponent for it in public.

So far Tesla and pretty much every self driving system have proven to be much safer than humans. 

Obviously there will be mistakes , setbacks but the end result will be much safer roads

that's because only Tesla is dumb enough to market and release FSD into the commercial sector in large numbers. Other auto companies are worried about liability issues.

tech wise, Honda is the only car that came out with Level 3 autonomy with its Legend. And its only selling 100 vehicles.

hence the title. Musk is exaggerating the capabilities of his driving systems, with no thought to the number of people he's putting at risk.
